sojournkids at homeThis week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was “Cain and Abel” (Genesis 4:1-16). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below).

READ Genesis 4:1-16 or Story 4 in the Gospel Story Bible

ASK: What were Cain and Abel's jobs?  Abel was a shepherd and Cain was a farmer.

ASK: Why did Cain and Abel bring and offering to the Lord?  They wanted to thank God, because all good gifts come from him.

ASK: Why did Cain kill Abel?  He was jealous that God accepted Abel's gift instead of his.

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Long Story Short by Marty Machowski, week 4.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

2 Timothy 3:16-17  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
