sojournkids at homeThis week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was “The Rainbow of God's Promise” (Genesis 8-9). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below).

READ Genesis 8-9 or Story 6 in the Gospel Story Bible

ASK: Why did God put a rainbow in the sky?  As a sign of his promise to Noah that he would never destroy the earth by a flood.

ASK: Why did Noah build an alter?  To thank God for saving him.

ASK: Can you think of any other times God saved his people from death?

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Long Story Short by Marty Machowski, week 6.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

16.  What is the gospel of the kingdom?  The good news that we can have life with God under the rule of God.

Mark 1:15  The time has come, he said, "The kingdom of God has come near.  Repent and believe the good news."
