sojournkids at homeThis week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was “The Tower of Babel” (Genesis 11:1-9). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below).

READ Genesis 11:1-9 or Story 7 in the Gospel Story Bible

ASK: Did the people ask God for help or try to build the tower on their own?  They wanted to build it on their own.

ASK: Did God think the tower was a good idea?  No.  God said, "If they are successful they will do whatever evil thing pleases them."

ASK: What did God do to keep them from building their tower and city? He confused their languages.

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Long Story Short by Marty Machowski, week 7.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

17.  How does God command us to live in His kingdom?  We are commanded to love God and love our neighbor.

Matthew 22:37  Jesus replied, "Love the Lord you God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."
