sojournkids at homeThis week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was “God Makes a Covenant with Abraham” (Genesis 15). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below).

READ Genesis 15 or Story 9 in the Gospel Story Bible

ASK: Why was Abram sad?  He didn't have any children.  He would have no one to whom to pass on God's promise.

ASK: What did God promise Abram?  God promised he and Sarai would have a son and many descendants.

ASK: Why did God to Abram to count the stars? Because there were too many too count!  He wanted to show Abram just how big his promise was.

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Long Story Short by Marty Machowski, week 9.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

19.  Why does God tell us, "You shall have no other God's before me"?  Because God is our only King and Lord.

1 Timothy 1:7  Now to the king eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever, Amen.
