Leader 1: Today we celebrate Easter!  Who can raise their hand and share some of your favorite activities that your family does to celebrate Easter?

Those all sound so fun!  Who knows what happened on the first Easter, the thing that gives us a reason to celebrate and have fun on Easter?

That's right!  God raised Jesus from the dead.  Jesus was perfect, and didn't have to die, but he took the punishment we deserved, and then he was made alive!  Now we are also made alive with him - and that's what our first song is about!  It's called "Made Alive!"  Will you sing it out with me?

“Made Alive” by Citizens & Saints

Leader 2: Our memory verse this month is Psalm 145:3! Repeat this after me: “Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.”

I just love this verse!  But I think I need some help to understand it better.  Who can tell me what it means that God is WORTHY of praise?

That's right! This verse says God is worthy of praise because of his greatness!  And who can tell me what it means that "no one can fathom?"

So this verse tells us that God is SO GREAT that we don't even know his greatness!

Leader 1: What a great reason to praise him!  Let's sing this next song together that praises God for sending Jesus to us!

“Jesus Came to Earth”  by Sovereign Grace Music

Leader 1: What a great God we have! If you have offereing to give to God, you can bring it up now to our offering basket.  Let's sing our last song!

“Cast Your Cares”  by Seeds Family Worship

Leader 1: Hey who can tell me what time it is?

(Play the Catechism riff: G-F-G-F-G-F-G “Catechism!”)

Leader 2: Here is our question for this week! I’ll read the question and you will all read the answer together!

April 5th: Why does God tell us, “Honor your father and mother?” So we will love and obey our parents.

April 12th: Why does God tell us, “You shall not murder?” So we will not hate or be angry.

April 19th: Why does God tell us, “You shall not commit adultery?”  So we will love others from a pure and faithful heart.

April 26th: Why does God tell us, “You shall not steal?” So we will not take what is not ours but instead want to give.

Leader 2: Let’s pray! Bow your heads and fold your hands as we talk to God! Father God, we thank You for sending Jesus to be our Teacher, our Friend, our Brother, and our Savior. Jesus, we praise You for going to cross to die and defeating death for us! Holy Spirit, please fill our hearts today so we can know and love You more. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
