This week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was “Isaac and Ishmael” (Genesis 21:1-21). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below).

READ Genesis 21:1-21 or Story 13 in the Gospel Story Bible

ASK: What did Sarah, Isaac's mother, ask Abraham to do with Ishmael?  Send him and his mother, Hagar, away.

ASK: How did God provide for Hagar and Ishmael? He opened Hagar's eyes to see the well of water.  He provided food and water for them, and he blessed them.  The Bible tells us, "Our God sees."  He sees the poor when they are in trouble.

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Long Story Short by Marty Machowski, week 13.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

26.  Why does God tell us, "You shall not commit adultery"?So we will love others with a pure and faithful heart.

Matthew 5:8Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
