Josh RobertsComment

This week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was “Gabriel Visits Mary” (Luke 1:26-38). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below) and monthly SWORD Bible Memory (back).

READ: Luke 1:26-38

MAIN POINT: Jesus is God’s promised Son.

ASK: Who are the two characters in this story? Gabriel the angel and Mary, a young woman.

ASK: Who sent the angel to Mary, and what did he tell her? God sent the angel to Mary to tell her that she was going to have a baby.

ASK: What was special about Mary’s baby? Mary’s baby wasn’t going to be an ordinary baby. Mary’s baby would be both human and God (verse 35).

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Prepare Him Room by Marty Machowski, pages 6-23.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

What makes Jesus’ life different from every other man? Jesus was fully God and fully man, and he obeyed God’s law perfectly.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
