The Angels Visit the Shepherds (December 13th)

Josh RobertsComment

This week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was "The Angels Visit the Shepherds" (Luke 2:8-20). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below) and monthly SWORD Bible Memory (back).

READ: Luke 2:8-20

MAIN POINT: Jesus’ birth is good news for the poor.

ASK: Who told the shepherds what was going on? The angels.

ASK: Do you remember what the angel said? The angel told the shepherds that the baby was born in the City of David. The baby is Christ, the Lord. Then, a whole army of angels praised God and said, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased.”

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Prepare Him Room by Marty Machowski, pages 43-61.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

What makes Jesus’ life different from every other man? Jesus was fully God and fully man, and he obeyed God’s law perfectly.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
