Three Wise Men and a Star (December 20th)

Josh RobertsComment

This week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was “Three Wise Men and a Star” (Matthew 2:1-15). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below) and monthly SWORD Bible Memory (back).

READ: Matthew 2:1-15

MAIN POINT: Nothing can stop God’s plan to send his Son, Jesus.

ASK: Who traveled from the East to see Jesus? The wise men.

ASK: How did they know where to look for Jesus? A star appeared in the sky above where Jesus was born, and the wise men followed it.

ASK: Why did the wise men want to see Jesus? They wanted to worship him and give him gifts.

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Prepare Him Room by Marty Machowski, pages 43-61.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

What makes Jesus’ life different from every other man? Jesus was fully God and fully man, and he obeyed God’s law perfectly.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
