Four Men in the Furnace (At Home for July 26th)

Josh RobertsComment

This week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was “Four Men in the Furnace” (Daniel 3). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below) and monthly SWORD Bible Memory (back).

READ Daniel 3 or Story 73 in the Gospel Story Bible

ASK: What did the king want all of the people to do? The king wanted all of the people to bow down to an image of gold.

ASK: Why did the three friends refuse to bow down? They worshiped the one true God, and they would not bow down to a false god.

ASK: How did the king say they would be punished if they refused to obey? They would be thrown into a fiery furnace

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Long Story Short by Marty Machowski, week 73.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

What do we mean when we talk about the message of the cross? The life and work of Jesus.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
