Josh RobertsComment

This week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was “God Sends Plagues Against Egypt” (Exodus 7:14-11:10). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below) and monthly SWORD Bible Memory (back).

READ: Exodus 7:14-11:10 or Story 30 in the Gospel Story Bible

MAIN POINT: There is only one true God.

ASK: What did God do to Pharaoh and Egypt? God sent ten plagues upon Egypt.

ASK: What is a plague? A great suffering, sickness, or disease sent by God as a punishment to a person or whole group of people

ASK: Why did God send the plagues? To show Pharaoh and all Egypt that he is the one true God who saves his people

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Long Story Short by Marty Machowski, week 30.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

How does God command us to live in his kingdom? We are commanded to love God and love our neighbor.

Matthew 27:37 Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
