God Calls Moses (August 16th)

For ParentsJosh RobertsComment

This week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was “God Calls Moses” (Exodus 2:11-4:31). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below) and monthly SWORD Bible Memory (back).

READ: Exodus 2:11-4:31 or Story 28 in the Gospel Story Bible

ASK: What did Moses see? A burning bush that did not burn up.

ASK: What did God send Moses to do? To tell Pharaoh, “Let my people go.” God planned to rescue them from slavery in Egypt.

ASK: Did Moses think he would be able to do this job? No, he didn’t think he could do it, and he didn’t think the people would believe him when he told them God had sent him to deliver Israel.

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Long Story Short by Marty Machowski, week 28.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

How does God command us to live in his kingdom? We are commanded to love God and love our neighbor.
