The Last Plague and the First Passover (September 6th)

Josh RobertsComment

This week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was “The Last Plague and the First Passover” (Exodus 11-13). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below) and monthly SWORD Bible Memory (back).

READ: Exodus 11-13 or Story 31 in the Gospel Story Bible

MAIN POINT: God’s people are saved by the blood of the lamb.

ASK: What was the last plague God brought upon Egypt? The plague of death of the firstborn when every firstborn son in Egypt would be killed.

ASK: What did God ask the Israelites to do to protect their families? They were to kill a lamb and wipe its blood on their door-frames so the Lord would see it and pass over their homes.

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Long Story Short by Marty Machowski, week 31.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

How does God command us to live in his kingdom? We are commanded to love God and love our neighbor.

Matthew 27:37 Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
