Josh RobertsComment

This week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was “God Calls Gideon” (Judges 6:1-35). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below) and monthly SWORD Bible Memory (back).

READ: Judges 6:1-35 or Story 46 in the Gospel Story Bible

MAIN POINT: God overcomes our weaknesses.

ASK: Why did the Israelites live in caves? They were hiding from their enemies, the Midianites

ASK: Who visited Gideon? An angel of the Lord. He told Gideon that he was going to lead God’s people against the Midianites.

ASK: How did Gideon feel about this difficult job?  Gideon felt that he was not strong enough, and he asked God for signs. What were some of the signs?

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Long Story Short by Marty Machowski, week 46.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

Is God great? Yes, and his greatness cannot be measured.

Psalm 121:7 The Lord will keep you from all harm; he will watch over your life.
