Josh RobertsComment

This week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was “God Gives Samson Strength” (Judges 13-14). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below) and monthly SWORD Bible Memory (back).

READ: Judges 13-14 or Story 48 in the Gospel Story Bible

MAIN POINT: God uses broken people for His glory.

ASK: What did God tell Samson’s parents they should doto show Samson’s devotion to God? Samson was to be a Nazirite and never cut his hair.

ASK: What gave Samson his strength? Samson’s long hair was an outward sign of his faith in God, but it was God’s Spirit that gave him his strength.

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Long Story Short by Marty Machowski, week 48.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

15. What is the gospel? The gospel is the good news that we can enter God’s kingdom through God’s cross by God’s grace

Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not be in want.
