Josh RobertsComment

This week’s SojournKids Bible lesson was “The Ministry of John the Baptist” (John 1:19-34). Use the questions below to review it with your kids. You can also review the weekly North Star Catechism (below) and monthly SWORD Bible Memory (back).

READ: John 1:19-34 or Story 82 in the Gospel Story Bible

MAIN POINT: We must turn away from sin and trust Jesus.

ASK: What job did God give to John the Baptist? He was sent to baptize people and help them prepare for Jesus.

ASK: What did John the Baptist mean when he said that he wasn’t good enough to untie John the Baptist’s shoes?

Check out the daily devotionals that correspond with this week’s lesson in Old Story New by Marty Machowski, week 4.  This week’s North Star catechism question is…

15. What is the gospel? The gospel is the good news that we can enter God’s kingdom through God’s cross by God’s grace

Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not be in want.
