We'd love for you to use this short devotional to review this week's story with your kids.
Background: In this week’s story Jesus cleanses the temple. He came to Jerusalem and entered the temple. He immediately starting to drive out the people selling and buying things from the temple. Jesus tells them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers.” The blind and the lame then came to Jesus and he healed them. The children in the temple were crying, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” This made the chief priests upset and Jesus asks them if they had never read, “‘Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise’?”
Opening/Ice Breaker: Do you like Birthday parties? What is the best part about your birthday party? How would you feel if someone came to your birthday and blew out your candles?
