Special Needs Ministry
At Sojourn, we believe everyone is uniquely created by God and he has a beautiful purpose for them. Our desire is for every person to learn about Jesus Christ and worship him in a loving and safe environment. Every Sojourn congregation strives to minister to all families.
Our goal is to welcome in all children with special needs--showing them Jesus, including them in activities with their peers, and creating a space where they experience belonging and growth in relationships.
For children who need one-to-one care, we offer a Special Needs Buddy program. In this program, we work to pair your child with a loving, trained volunteer who will attend a typical Sojourn Kids classroom with them. The buddy builds a relationship with your child as they assist them in participating in classroom activities and interacting with their peers. A buddy also allows us the flexibility to assist your child in any additional ways necessary such as visual aids, sensory toys, special equipment, etc.
